So how’d you tuck the wire ends so they don’t poke you??

I cut the twisted end short and bent the remainng end up into the groove of the grip.

Very interesting.... my grips on my beemer something bad
.. Buddy offered to do that
with safety wire and I declined because
I figured I’d get tetanus
or something from repeatably poking myself with the wire end....

The safety wire cuts pretty smooth and is easy to bend into the grips. Also, you twist thebwires together at the bottom of the grips, so your thumb is thebonly part of your hand that could even touch them.
It’s easy to do yourself. I did both grips in about five minutes, probably took ten minutes my first time. Cut a length sufficient enough to wrap around the grips (five inches or so), and bend them around the grips crossing them at the bottom (forming a “support thr troops” yellow ribbon shape) . Grab a pair of pliars and twist the two ends around each other until the wire is somewhat tight (just as the wire starts to push into the grips). Don’t go too tight or you’ ll cut through the grips.
